We welcome you to SIMIODE – Systemic Initiative for Modeling Investigations and Opportunities with Differential Equations www.simiode.org.

Check out our StarterKit materials at https://simiode.org/starterkit.

The mission of SIMIODE is to support the teaching of differential equations in context through mathematical modeling. SIMIODE offers a FREE online Community of Practice. There are hundreds of resources available for teachers to use with students. We call these Modeling Scenarios.

Please consider participating in our SIMIODE Challenge Using Differential Equation Modeling – SCUDEM V 2020 to be held on 14 November 2020. Registration runs from 1 September 2020 to 15 October 2020. For complete information visit www.simiode.org/scudem .

Students can bring their own team of three with you or a colleague as mentor/coach or SIMIODE will place students on a team with students from around the world for the joy of meeting new colleagues.

Your students could be teamed up with students from around the world. Consider this!

We are also in need of mentor/coaches – you will be assigned to work with a team of students from around the world – as well as judges, so let us know if you can join in.

View the videos on SCUDEM I 2017, SCUDEM II 2018, SCUDEM III 2018, and SCUDEM IV 2019 and let the students share their SCUDEM experiences.

Publication of faculty and student class projects and extended scenarios online at SIMIODE goes through our peer-reviewed, double-blind system, thus assuring quality online publication.

We invite all, faculty and students, to join us at SIMIODE and engage in the excitement that is doing differential equations as it was originally intended, through application and context.

SIMIODE is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization funded by the National Science Foundation.
