A Study of Online Discussion Technologies in Hybrid Algebra Classes

The speaker is Co-PI of a grant-funded, IRB-approved controlled study of discussion technologies in hybrid college algebra classes. Text-based commenting (discussion boards) are compared to audio-visual commenting. Exam scores, participation rates, and completion rates are compared. Assignments, surveys, rubrics, results, and samples of student work will be shared.
