On April 4, the International Mathematics ANet had the opportunity to hold a panel discussion with NYSMATYC. The talk was the result of sharing innovative knowledge among ANet members Lucie Mingla (LaGuardia CC), Cristina Dita (President TexMATYC, Cisco College), Manisha Ranade (Santa Fe College), Rehana Yusaf (Howard CC), Jignasa Rami (CC of Baltimore County), and Barbara Leitherer (Chair of the International ANet of AMATYC). A special thank you goes to Chris Yuen, President of NYSMATYC, for inviting us and for allowing me to share the link to the recording.

Title of the presentation:  "Embedding Global Learning into Mathematics Classes in the First Two Years of College".

Please check out the video, especially the learning gains model at the end. The recording mentions numerous insightful class examples at different levels, promotes project ideas, illuminates undergraduate research, and culminates in a collaborative online international learning (COIL) between a Polish and a US college. This is part of the cumulative work of the international ANet spanning the last 5 to 10 years. We have learned so much about how to embed global learning into the mathematical disciplines. The examples provided do enrich learning and and are informative and enlightening. They do not only strengthen critical thinking and problem solving in the process of mathematical discourse, but also focus on collaborations among students and improve intercultural communication in our increasingly diverse classrooms in the first two years of college.

Please provide some comments on the content/message of the recording.
