  • Preparing for AMATYC 2023

As we prepare for AMATYC 2023, it's crucial that we gather your input on the Mathematics Pathways topics you'd like to see addressed during our business meeting, scheduled for the following date and time:

Date: Saturday, November 11 Event: Mathematics Pathways ANet Meeting (M11) Time: 10:45 am - 11:35 am Room: 208

During our last meeting, our primary focus revolved around the question of whether we should recommend expanding the number of mathematics pathways beyond the standard three: STEM, Stats, and Quantitative Reasoning. We can briefly revisit our decision not to expand.

Another potentially engaging topic for discussion could be "teaching within the various pathways." This aspect constitutes a significant part of our responsibilities but has received limited attention since the formation of our ANet. This could spark a lively and informative conversation.

Please feel free to share any other ideas or propose agenda items by emailing me directly at hburn@highline.edu.

I am eagerly looking forward to meeting some of you in Omaha!

    Best regards,

Helen Burn Chair, Mathematics Pathways ANet
