Dear Colleagues,
The Mathematics and Its Applications for Careers ANet (MAC) looks forward to seeing you all in Omaha this week, and we hope that you will be able to join our ANet meeting on Thursday, November 9th, at 1:50-2:40 pm in room 208.
We will be joined by Jay Martin from Wake Technical CC, who will talk about the CIMI (Connecting Industry to Math Instruction) project and the Needed Math Grant. Jay and his Wake Tech colleague Julia Smith hosted an excellent workshop last year in Toronto, sharing exercises from the CIMI portfolio. This year, Jay is looking to connect with any college team interested in a project similar to CIMI and will also share interesting data from the Needed Math Project.
We cordially invite everyone, regardless of your affiliation with MAC, to join us for this discussion, as well as networking with colleagues from this ANet. Come and help us shape the committee agenda for the next year.
Another opportunity to connect with Jay is on Thursday at 10:20-11:10 in room 202, where he and Ryan Pescosolido (2016 Project ACCCESS Fellow) will share industry-inspired learning activities.
