Hello everyone,
I wanted to let you know about a Professional Development community I'm running along with Aris Winger, Abbe Herzig, PhD, Emily Moore, and Kevin Palencia Infante at Northern Illinois University to help you revamp your courses so that your students have more of a presence in your class. The workshop is called "The Harmony of Compassion and Rigor in Mathematical Spaces". The idea is that the mathematics classroom can be a compassionate space for learning without sacrificing rigor!
Please pass along to your colleagues. This will be a learning community that will start late July and run through the fall 2025 semester to give you time to implement, reflect on, and incrementally change your teaching to foster a more compassionate learning space. The deadline to register is July 3.
