Dear Colleague,
Please share this with secondary mathematics teachers that you know!
Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education (BSME) is a 6-week summer program in Budapest, Hungary, where mathematics educators study the renowned Hungarian pedagogy-an approach that places problem-solving, creativity, and mathematical communication at the center of instruction.
Why Hungarian pedagogy matters now: American mathematics education increasingly emphasizes conceptual understanding and productive struggle. The Hungarian pedagogy provides a powerful model for integrating these skills into daily instruction rather than treating them as occasional enrichment. Teachers who complete BSME return with practical strategies they can bring back to their classrooms and share with colleagues.
