This ANet was formerly known as the Mathematics for Liberal Arts ANet.  A new statement about the ANet's goals and purpose is pending Board approval. 

The following is the information from the Mathematics for Liberal Arts ANet:

.To create and maintain a learning community for teachers of Mathematics for Liberal Arts Students by identifying general topics covered in a liberal arts mathematics courses, by discussing issues related to the transferability, prerequisite skills, and correct student placement in these courses, by discussing the pedagogy related to delivery formats such as face to face, online, and blended classes as well as active learning strategies, by providing support to community college mathematics faculty in development of such courses, and by sharing best practices in teaching liberal arts mathematics courses.
