  • Inclusive STEM course opportunity

    The Inclusive STEM Teaching Project, a NSF Improving Undergraduate STEM Education program, is hosting the free six-week Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) again from October 3 - November 22, 2022 via edX. If you are so inclined, we encourage you to spread the word to your colleagues, as your satisfaction with the course is likely a huge selling point.

    The Inclusive STEM Teaching Project community has now grown to over 6,000 faculty, postdocs, graduate students, and staff, and we hope to see that growth continue. Increasing the number of instructors who are trained in the area of inclusive teaching increases the likelihood that meaningful changes for inclusive environments can happen within departments, throughout institutions and across the country.

    By participating in this course, participants will learn how to:

    • Advance awareness, self-efficacy, and ability to cultivate inclusive classroom environments;

    • Support development as a reflective, inclusive practitioner;

    • Engage in reflection and discussion around topics of equity and inclusion across a variety of institutional contexts;

    • Implement inclusive teaching methods in classes which will remove common barriers and enhance learning in STEM for all students.

    Please share this registration link for our fall session, as well as our course flyer and 1-pager, with your networks of instructors.
